Our proposal for the abandoned Highgate station, London aims to create a “Third Space”, challenging the existing perceptions and fostering informal, unregulated activities for all kinds of users by adapting to the topography and featuring varied defined activity zones for wheeled sports. Taking into play the idea of Choose-your-own-Adventure, the project boasts multiple regulated and unregulated pathways to choose from, defined by its use and/or destination of its users. Various zones in the project include a BMX track, extension of the pre-existing one; skating bumps; viewing hills; and sensory zones made up of plants and trees native to the area.
